Erasmus+

KA220-ADU: partnerships for adult education.

Deadline: March Up to €400,000

KA220-ADU also belongs to Erasmus+ Key Action 2, but in the “cooperation partnerships” category: more structured partnerships than KA210, designed for organisations that want to produce something more ambitious, such as a shared curriculum, a methodology, or a digital tool, not just exchange practices.

You need at least three organisations from three different countries (versus the minimum two for KA210). Funding is also lump-sum here, but on a larger scale: €120,000, €250,000 or €400,000, depending on the project’s size and ambition. Projects last between 12 and 36 months.

“ADU” stands for Adult Education: the call targets organisations working in continuing education and adult learning, such as adult education centres, continuing vocational training providers, sector associations. The 2026 priorities particularly reward projects that strengthen the competences of adult-education staff, the recognition of learners’ prior skills, and innovative teaching methods.

As with KA210, twin versions of the same “cooperation partnerships” format exist for other sectors (KA220-SCH for schools, KA220-VET for vocational training, KA220-HED for higher education, KA220-YOU for youth): a sign that the real choice isn’t between “Erasmus+ calls” in the abstract, but between the format (KA210, small and fast, or KA220, more structured) and the sector you work in.

KA220-ADU also has an annual deadline in early March (5 March 2026, 12:00 Brussels time).
